Bill O'Reilly's Crystal Ball

Posted by Dominic Holden on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 5:03 PM

Bill O'Reilly could make a documentary of any major U.S. city, interviewing the dregs and pariahs of society and those afraid to get near them. But O'Reilly makes one about San Francisco, forecasting what will happen to America under Obama's rule.

"Where will the new Obama administration take the country?" he asks. "As we reported, the far left is emboldened now that Barack Obama has been elected president, and nowhere is the radical left government more on display than in the city of San Francisco."

Bill O'Reilly is an intellectual CRIMINAL.

It has never been more apparent than in this clip.

He asks the rhetorical "what will happen to America under Obama's rule" ... and then launches into footage of homeless camps in San Fransisco?

It's so disgusting that I can't even finish a retort here. Oh my gosh, he is such an intellectual terrorist.

I'm simply astonished.

Bill O needs to surrender to the law before we come to get him.

Time's up!

#4. Not really.

As far as I can see, the Far Left has been underground hiding for decades...mostly in rest homes and Alzheimer's clinics. Should Obama "release" these aged weatherfolk, health care costs would soar from having to pick them up off the sidewalk.

Why can't O'Reilly ever bash Seattle huh? We're just as liberal and evil as San Francisco, really we are!

freakin San Francisco...

Oh Jesus... how the hell would interviewing the homeless in Kansas City play any differently? We've got some extreme lefties in city government, but they're there for the same reason you've sometimes got conservative nutjobs in office in other towns - they most closely, but far from perfectly, represent the interests of their constituents.

EVERYONE in this city is sick of our homeless problem (before anyone says it, our current problem wasn't created by Reagan), and everyone here is sick of having double the crime rate of NYC. But no one in their right mind is blaming open pot smoking and gay marriage - two things Obama is pretty mum on anyhow.

Most importantly, the Streets of San Francisco-era City O'Reilly cites, even during the first Bush-era, saw crime rates in this town close triple what they are now.

I can't believe I'm even writing this... Fox is RATINGS, not content.

The notion that Obama will make the entire US look like San Francisco is ridiculous, but beyond that fear-mongering thesis, the city is pretty accurately represented in the clip.

If the bolded quote "nowhere is the radical left government more on display than in the city of San Francisco" is wrong, then what city would Dominic say has a more leftist government? Seattle? New York? Hardly.

And while other cities also have their "dregs and pariahs", I think Dominic would be hard-pressed to argue that the density and visibility of homeless, pot-smoking, and transvestitism in San Francisco is matched by other cities. And yes, each of those populations is encouraged by intentional policies of the San Francisco city government.

Dominic may regard those demographics and policies as positive, but that doesn't mean that someone calling them out in a negative light has his facts wrong.

(I also think it's funny that O'Reilly knows exactly where the 'tenderloin' district is in San Fran.)

doug- youre right, the so called michael douglas- bubble nose era that o'reilly speaks of saw waaay more crime. 70's and 80's was a time of sky rocketing crime rates in most cities. when san fran had that cop jordan in office it wasnt any better in terms of street folks struggling and the tenderloin has been there since the city was a city.

this was as dishonest a piece of reporting as ive ever seen. u can do the same in any big or small city.

i do have to say, what gives the poster the right to call these folks "dregs."?

what on earth does san francisco's hobo community ("they travel in packs!") have to do with "secular progressive america" and the future of this country? and more to the point, why are conservatives such bed-wetting pussies?

Bill O'Reilly knows where to go in San Francisco because the man likes to masturbate himself with giant dildos while having phone sex with women who don't like it.

Not that there's anything wrong for man to mastburbate with giant dildos.

That is, unless you're a big fucking hypocrite named Bill O'Reilly.

He puts us Irish to shame.

WATERS: "It's just like a Grateful Dead Concert." "It was like you're in Amsterdam."
O'REILLY: "You wouldn't go to the Presidio at night, I wouldn't".
WATERS: "Almost every single neighborhood has this dark underbelly that seeps into the regular society."

Let's see, you're homeless, kinda crazy, you hop on a train, what's your destination? A rich city with comfortable weather year-round? What other city even offers that kind of homeless luxury? You don't have to get into the politics of the situation to see why San Fran is so appealing for the homeless.

So let me get this straight:

People in San Francisco are tolerant and accepting of one another and that's bad?

I've always wanted to move to San Francisco; I'm not sure that making me more motivated was O'Reilly's intent here.

Geez laweez. Stay away from the neon lights Bill O!

Let the pubic dancers out of their cages!

So what is this report trying to say? Now that Obama is president the far left will be emboldened to snort whip-its off the taint of a lower eastside tranny.

This video was the perfect blend of abstract journalism and O' Reilly wisdom. Despite all the mouthfarting, I was laughing hysterically at the portayal of North Beach (a.ka. Little Italy). It's one of the coolest neighborhoods in the country, hosting City Light Books, the finest restaurants, and Lombard Street and Coit tower all within walking distance.

So fuck you Bill O. You suck.

P.S. Your "producer" reminds me of a limp dick on prom night.

My theory is that Bill O'Reilly is an Andy Kaufmann-style comedian, and that his career is all a big joke that will come to a spectacularly humiliating punchline for the entirety of American culture.

Um, the Tenderloin and North Beach are two separate neighborhoods. They don't even touch each other. Nob Hill and Chinatown are between them. Sorry, I live in the TL so this particularly bugs me. And yes, the TL is filled with trannies and North Beach has a ton of strip clubs. Is this really news to O'Reilly's viewers?

O'reilly is right again. Under an Obama administration, the entire country will be dope smoking homeless hippies. That's why I voted for him!
