...but it helps. Listen as the Catholic cardinal of Baltimore talks about Barack Obama's "clenched jaw," and Obama's "aggressive, disruptive, and apocalyptic" agenda, and the "hot, bitter tears" of the Catholic faithful.
Man, I wish my mother—a practicing Catholic, Joel—were still alive. She'd listen to this, shake her head, lift an eyebrow and then say, "Some idiots are Catholics, but not all Catholics are idiots—despite the impression the hierarchy works so hard to create."

If the higher-ups in the hierarchy are idiots, why would someone who isn't an idiot agree to enter that hierarchy at the bottom, as a supplicant? Why do people maintain membership in an institution they have so little faith in?

Yet another Catholic bigot, trying to couch his narrowminded hatred in 'civil' tones.
I'm reminded of going to St. James Cathedral with a friend for the Christmas Carol service. At about midnight, the bishop & his entourage, all in their finest queenly outfits & festive party hats, strolled to the center with the swinging incense ball smoking up the entire huge church.
I kid you not...it was really freaky. These Catholic superstitions -- what's with that?
Anyway, my friend & I were just barely able to escape when they started chanting their Latin voodoo.

Catholics and Baptists are equally detached from reality. They have the freedom to believe whatever nonsense they wish to believe, but we don't. We must believe whatever they tell us to believe no matter how delusional that is. Well I have two words for men like this: Fuck you!
