News Weapons Charges Against Seattle Cops Dismissed

A South Dakota court has dismissed weapons charges against several Seattle police officers involved in an August 8th shooting inside the Loud American Road House bar in Sturgis, South Dakota.

Detective Ron Smith was initially charged with assault perjury and weapons charges following the August 8th shooting. Four other members of the Iron Pigs Motorcycle Club—a biker gang made up of law enforcement officers and firefighters—were also cited for misdemeanor weapons violations. All charges against the officers have now been dismissed.

I think that if your going to insult someone you should also throw in a compliment. Something like "Please, use commas. I did enjoy your use of a space between all of your words though, just so you know."

I drive I-90 through South Dakota every summer on my way to a summer job. I never EVER take the Sturgis exit. It's scary around there: never mind the bikers -- the "normal" vehicle drivers are aggressive and on edge until you get past the Badlands. Once the state levels out into Midwest prairie, everyone's nice again.

Sturgis is bad news.
