Barbecue lovers and Slog readers with photographic memories will recall last December, when the Ranch House BBQ—the beloved BBQ joint west of Olympia—was destroyed by a mudslide.
Since then, the Ranch House has been operating out of Olympia's Governor Hotel while it rebuilt its restaurant on the original site.
Last night, the under-construction Ranch House rebuild was damaged by a fire. No one was inside, no injuries were reported, and owners are still hoping to open the rebuilt restaurant next month. But as co-owner Amy Anderson told the Seattle Times, "If it wasn't for bad luck, I guess I wouldn't have any luck at all."
