Obama Meets With McCain: Not AWKWARD at All!

Posted by Wm.™ Steven Humphrey on Mon, Nov 17, 2008 at 5:19 PM

You've just won the presidency, and it's your first post-election meeting with your main competitor who in the recent past has said some very nasty things, including linking you with terrorists. So... what do you talk about? Maybe... football? Maybe... the press? Maybe... about how incredibly AWKWARD this meeting is? Please! Somebody! SAY THE WORDS!

The body language speaks volumes! Obama is relaxed, laid back and casual. McCain is sitting up straight, legs and hands crossed.

I'm sure they had a meaningful conversation that wasn't AS awkward as this photo-op looks.

Obama must have something to offer McCain, and vice-versa, or there wouldn't have been a meeting.

From NBC:

"There's been plenty of speculation that Vice President-elect Joe Biden would love to see his son, Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, take over his soon-to-be vacated Senate seat, NBC News's Doug Adams writes. Some believed that Biden may wait to resign his seat in a maneuver -- giving newly-elected governor Jack Markell the power to appoint rather than outgoing-Gov. Ruth Ann Minner -- aimed at helping that happen. However, with Obama's resignation from the Senate yesterday, Biden may be pressured to resign soon.

"With the younger Biden scheduled to be deployed to Iraq for about a year, a place-holder would be needed for the next two years -- someone who wouldn't challenge Beau in a 2010 special election. One person mentioned is outgoing-Lt. Gov. Jack Carney."

blaH, blaH, blaH, old style politics, blaH blaH blaH Bush=Clinton, blaH blaH blaH Obama, blaH blaH "change", blaH blaH blaH insiderism, cronyism, and nepotism blaH blaH blaH Biden dosey-do, blaH blaH Sloggers blaH blaH blaH blind adulation and ignoring all reality to the contrary BlaH blaH blaH 36 of 45 appointments blaH blaH blaH Clintonistas, blaH blaH blaH admit blaH blaH blaH campaign b.s.

What struck me about this video is how at ease, relaxed, and at home in his skin Obama was. How many more times can I say how glad I am that this man will be our president in sixty some days?

I see that PC has started her regression back to Obama-bashing, right on schedule.
