Prop 8 Protest at Volunteer Park

Posted by on Sat, Nov 15, 2008 at 1:03 PM

Dominic Holden just called me from the Prop 8 march (I'm on my way!), and said it's the biggest crowd he's ever seen in the Volunteer Park amphitheater. Ever. Bigger than any rally, any protest, any pride celebration, and Dominic Holden has been to many. You can't see the back of the crowd from the stage.

I don't have a photo, but it's basically like this:

Only more gay, and less 1926.

Thanks --- I'm out of town, but thought that The Stranger was planning to cover this rally and march live -- am I not looking in the right place? This post is the first news I've seen... i'd love to see actual photos... I assumed it was a non story because no one showed up...

The question is, IS it more gay than 1926, or just less closeted?
