With You In Spirit

Unfortunately I won't be at tomorrow's demonstration. I'm staying in New York for another night, this time to do Larry Fucking King. But I got a new shirt so, um, can I have my fag card back now, please?

Even more tragically, I'm going to be in an airplane at the time of tomorrow's demonstrations—which are taking place in 300 hundred cities, in all 50 states. I'm going to ask the stewardesses to declare our flight an official sit-down strike, so that anyone who remains seated during the flight will be officially counted among tomorrow's marchers. Anyone opposed to gay rights will have to stand for the duration of the flight.

I'm actually really bummed about this, and wish I could be there. Have a great demo, all ya all.

Dan, Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy is supposedly going to be on Larry King tonight too. So it's not a complete loss. You get to meet the dude from Fall Out Boy who had pictures of his dick circulated all over the internet. The man who's married to Ashlee Simpson.

If you bring me an autograph, I'll be your BFF. I'm only half way kidding.

If stewardesses have the power to declare a sit-down strike, does that mean they have powers similar to those of judges and sherrifs? Meaning, they could declare people married?

You know what to do.

Dan,

You are an uneducated, spineless queer. There is a large portion of the gay community that is DISGUSTED with your recent actions. Calling for a boycott of a state or calling for a mandate against EVERY black person does not make you liberal. It does not make you enlightened. It just makes you a pretentious, self-absorbed dumbfuck. If you had TRUE liberal ideas, you would realize that the 50 percent + 1 politics is a thing of the past, and that we need to have a goal that states that the-support-for-the gay-community-tent should be bigger. Instead, you make the irresponsible choice of race-baiting, shitting on a state, and offering advice in retrospect. It is so ironic, because all of your shit-talking and crying is working AGAINST our cause. You are a fucking douche, and just because you write a column about butt plugs doesn't make you at all qualified to talk about the realistic political strategies needed to make it legal. You can be smug, you can be what some people would consider "funny", but when it comes down to it: You don't have a valid answer to any of these criticisms. So go fuck yourself.

Dear Mr. Savage:

Pursuant to a previous wardrobe deficit and in accordance with the United States Code on Homosexuality, Title 18, Section 3205, paragraph (c)(2)(ii) "Dress Code Regulations", your membership and all privileges had been revoked.

Since then, it has been brought to our attention that you have purchased a new shirt.

The Membership Committee is willing to reconsider revocation of membership and a probationary reinstatement upon approval of said shirt. You must also submit to a monthly wardrobe review for a period of six months. Should both conditions be met satisfactorily, the Committee may elect to reinstate you as a full member.

Please be advised that entrance to the Club House will be restricted to the weekly family day during the probationary period.

Thank you for your past membership, and we wish you the best in the future.

Sincerely,
The Gays

So that's your response? You really are showing what a coward you are. So you can dish it out but you can't earnestly respond to straightforward questions? It's funny, because I am someone who had a lot of respect for you throughout the years. But it turns out that you are, and presumably always have been, FULL OF SHIT. Next time I do something wrong, I'll be sure to reply, "I'm a bad, bad man". Coward.

Dan-- shopping is a plot by women to keep the gay man down. A man needs a week's worth of jeans and t-shirts, plus a leather jacket. And that's just to be used for the time he can't be naked.

Wait... I live in LA. I'm forgetting my people in Chicago. Make that jeans, t-shirts, jacket, and outerwear local to your climate/snow sport.

Hi there. I designed the graphic early Wednesday morning and since then hundreds of cities have been added ad many of the misspellings have been corrected. By then the image had circulated pretty widely. You can call me a bad speller, but I know my geography (I think!). :) The locations are approximate. ;) I will update the image to include all cities.

This is a grassroots movement and, as such, all are responsible for spellchecking. So thanks! I'll try not to take it personally.

Happy protests everyone!

Dan is a blight on the gay community as a whole and a terrible example of a gay parent. The ass kissing twats on this blog are nothing and mean even less. When they actually grow up and join the human fucking race and realize how pathetic they have been and how Dan is selling them up the river for his own publicity, then we may begin to get on the right track.

Until then, we can just sit here and learn about all the important TV gigs that Dan is doing, while meanwhile he is fucking it up for every other rational and reasonable queer trying to make a go of it in this country.
