A federal grand jury in North Carolina is investigating allegations the controversial private security firm Blackwater illegally shipped assault weapons and silencers to Iraq, hidden in large sacks of dog food, ABCNews.com has learned...

...Two other former employees tell ABCNews.com they also witnessed the dog food smuggling operation. They say the weapons were actually hidden inside large sacks of dog food, packaged at company headquarters in North Carolina and sent to Iraq for the company's 20 bomb-sniffing dogs.

It strives to be endless this evil called Blackwater.

It's like these people compiled all the moves that past empires made right before they collapsed and made them into a checklist:
"Start a land war in Asia?"
"Check."
"Extend forces over multiple fronts, spreading them as thin as possible?"
"Check and check."
"Put a private mercenary force in charge of the occupation?"
"Check!"
"And we're sure that there are no clear goals or benchmarks for success, so we'll never know when we're done?"
"Absolutely no benchmarks whatsoever. Check."
"Excellent! Now all that remains is to cut our domestic sources of revenue while drastically increasing our rate of spending, and we're on track to make this one of the shortest-lived empires ever! A toast, gentlemen! To efficiency!"
"To efficiency!"

It is a perverse form of genius.

What is the legal way to ship weapons to Iraq? I mean, I assume they need them to do the job my tax dollars are paying for, non?

The right wing doesn't do history. It requires too much thinking and always gives them an answer they don't want to hear. They insist ideology trumps intellect, ignorance for them is a plus. They also think that their rich friends should run the government. So, how's that working for us?

One of the first orders of business for the Obama administration should be a Nuremberg type trial for the Bush administration and its collaborators, including those at the very top. These people trashed the Constitution and the rule of law, lied to the American people in order to start a war, completely fucked their response to one of the worst natural disasters in our history, instituted policies that led to the worst economic times since the Depression, and a host of other things. Instead of clearing brush on his ranch in Crawford, Texas, Bush should be spending the rest of his life clearing brush on a roadside outside Leavenworth Federal Prison wearing an orange jumpsuit and handcuffs.

Silencers are for assassins, not soldiers or "Private Military Contractors".
