..urinals:

urinalsnyclll.jpg

Wow—the urinals in the men's room at the restaurant where I had dinner in last night were huge, practically walk-in. They just don't build 'em like that anymore, do they?

There's an old dance hall in Centralia that has the biggest urinals I've ever seen. There like marble caskets.

There is a pub by Discovery Park that claims to have the largest (maybe oldest also) urinal in the city, it makes these look like the short kids ones which splash urine back on your knees.

Tip: Don't walk in.

Wow, I'd love one of these for my home. It's not just the size, but the classic styling. I could stand there and pee all day.

@3 - You're probably talking about Mulleady's Pub on Dravus. That pisser makes these look tiny.

Why do urinals go all the way to the floor? Doesn't piss splatter all over your shoes?

There are urinals that are even bigger and prettier than these in Cornish's Kerry Hall.

@7

Piss splatters, drips, and generally makes some sort of mess in urinals of all sizes. TIP: Don't wear flip flops.

@6 that's probably it, I've only been there once when I took my Sister and Brother in law to Discovery park, I don't make it out that way very often.

The new Deschutes brew pub in Portland has pretty much the exact same urinals. They are truly amazing.

Dan --

Where is that? I'm in NYC and I'd love to visit :)

Not if you're doing it right, Carollani. You aim at the wall, not the floor.

The urinals at the Olympic Club in Centralia are pretty fabulous, but if you want true splendor, you have to visit the Philharmonic pub in Liverpool.

I remember seeing some walk-up urinals whose walls were built to enshroud the user's front in the Netherlands. There's nothing like peeing in public!

Agreed with 15, I just watched the clip. Hilarious. Most people can't get Colbert to crack up like that, well done sir!

The advantage of the floor models is that males of all heights can use them. But they no longer meet the plumbing code, so you see them only in old buildings.

Am I a bad man,aa bad gay, or just a bad partner for discouraging the installation of a urinal in our bathroom?...
Posted by cunei4m on November 12, 2008 at 11:39 AM

@25: You are a destroyer of the environment. Urinals save water because they use less per flush. Further, completely waterless urinals exist.

The sight of those closely co-joined urinals must send a wave of panic through the trunk of the guys you see peeing only and always on the end urinal with the body angle pitched heavily into the corner of the room.

I remember a pub I went to in Dublin (Ireland) which had cleverly made three walls of the mens room into one big urinal. I spent about three drunken minutes trying to figure out where the urinal was before I realized it was all urinal.

At least, I hope I was right about that.
