2008 / Election Where is the party right now?

Pike and Broadway, the party continues. It's still going. There are tons of people.
These blocks are awash in red and blue, and there are riot cops at the perimeter, but inside everyone's drinking--PBR, wine, bottles of champagne. Everyone's so happy/peaceful/lovely, the police don't care.
Some climbs a lamppost, stands on a WALK/DON'T WALK sign on one side and something else on the other side, and starts waving an American flag.
There are fireworks, there is a rousing rendition of the national anthem led by a drag queen on the roof of Neighbours and sung by everyone in the street, and there are riot police looking on peacefully. One is asked, "Have you ever seen anything like this?" and he responds, "It's peaceful! It's peaceful!"
