This Makes Me Feel Old

Posted by on Thu, Oct 30, 2008 at 4:39 PM

"Saw Is Now the Most Lucrative Horror Franchise in History."

You damn kids! You want horror? In my day, the real face of horror was Jason Voorhees! And we liked it! We loved it! He even went to Manhattan! Like the Muppets! What's that? "What's a Muppet?" Get off my lawn!

Jason was never cool. Mrs. Voorhees was. And Freddy is scarier than Jigsaw. Man I hate the Saw movies.

This is best ghoul flick I've seen in a while: http://www.netflix.com/Movie/Versus_Director_s_Cut/60029440?trkid=188469 Versus is a combination Japanese Ganster and Zombie Ghoulfest with a touch of medieval martial arts and sorcery thrown in. I think one of the characters there must have been an inspiration to Heath Ledger's Joker (dress style especially).

I've got to go with Jason, if only because he eventually went on a killing spree aboard a starship.

Saw is by far the worst movie I've seen in the last 10 years. I don't understand what people liked about it. It was a horrible mess.

I felt the same about Jason and Freddy movies as a teen that I do now, about the Saw movies -- I can't imagine sitting through one of them. I kinda like zombie movies, though...

What a joke. Ahem, inflation is a pretty big deal. Someone in the comments of the original article picked this apart already. I think Jason wins? Anyways, nice try.
