Let the Backlash to the Not-Yet-Happened Event Begin!

Posted by on Thu, Oct 30, 2008 at 2:26 PM

I'm sure many Halloween party-throwers are really grateful to Some Guy With a Website for making this sign:

You can get a full-page PDF to print and post here.

May I go as Tina Fey?

If they could make the same sign for the Dark Knight's Joker, that would be great. On a side note, a friend of mine decided to go as Heath Leger. He is going to belly up to the bar all night and pop oxycotin.

But I'll be Miss Wasilla, 1984. I even have the flute.

But what if I carry around a mongoloid cabbage patch doll and call it Trig? That's gotta be at least mildly clever/unique.

Please alert girls that a black miniskirt + kitty ears + makeup whiskers do not equal a costume either. theeeeeynks

Hahaha. Genius. Look at all these commenters trying to justify themselves.... Although, if this were my party and my flyer, I probably would make an exception for "but I'm Tina Fey doing Sarah Palin!" as long as there was some kind of evidence to back it up.

Yeah, our party has an 80s costume theme and at first I was all like, Miss Wasilla 1984! Then, I realized that Sarah Palin costumes are going to be a dime a dozen this year (sorry Jake @3). So, I'm going as a Robert Palmer girl.

when did Halloween turn from "cute fun for kindergarteners" into full-on Retard Cosplay Night?

i will be combining this year's two most popular costumes, sarah palin and the joker. no suprise that the result is LIPSTICK ON A PIG.

@8 - if you're half as sexy as your posts are smart - please post pictures somewhere on the internets. Thanks.

There's always Bristol Palin, or just get a dress, a bottle of pills and some Budweiser and be Cindy McCain...

@8 I was a Palmer girl last year and received rave reviews...good choice.

Will I still be allowed my Tom Cruise in Top Gun costume?

@8 - forget that unfortunate mess with Charles yesterday... it's totally back on.

@9: I'm with you all the way. Everyone's Annual Idea of Clever just makes me sad, and the weather rarely helps.

I, for one, will be enjoying this year's Palinorama Halloween.

@13 - Glad to hear people liked it -- I always end up being a costume I have to explain, so I'm hoping people get it (the wicked 80s electric guitar I have should help). And @11, if there are good costumes at the party (besides me, of course), maybe I'll add some photos to the Flickr pool.

Isn't the laziest Halloween costume just a vampire cape over street clothes?

Dear sign-makers: FUCK YOU. Sarah Palin costumes are still funny, and this is like the only year it will make sense to wear them. Also, any large number of Sarah Palin impersonators are at least as funny as an equivalent number of Elvis impersonators. Thirdly, go and look up the word 'zeitgeist' in the dictionary. In conclusion, you're a humorless dick. Stop trying to ruin my Halloween.

What about the Todd bitch? I didn't have time to buy a costume and a fake black eye and a backward "MJ" are super easy and cheap. Especially paired with an Obama campaign T-shirt. @#6 P to the J, What if the black catsuit has a big LOL on it? Will that do?

Dear costume-nazi: It's not technically a "party" if you are the only one there. Worst economy since the Great Depression and y'all are berating people for not buying a $400 polar bear suit that they'll wear once.
