This is personal for me. I am the product of the American middle class.
"If you add up all of Trump's ideas, from cutting taxes for the wealthy and corporations to starting a trade war with China to deporting millions of hardworking immigrants, the result would be a loss of 3.4 million jobs."

According to a speech Hillary Clinton just concluded, the same economist who predicted that 3.4 million job-loss number under Trump's plan (he's a former economic advisor to Republican senator John McCain) said that Clinton's plan would create more than 10 million new jobs.

This speech is wonky and unflashy, but there's a great moment (around the 37:00 mark) when she talks about Trump stiffing small businesses right before Clinton describes her father's small business. She also talks about a new Trump Loophole that her opponent rolled out on Monday, and she mentions how much the Trump family would save if he successfully got rid of the Estate Tax. Watch the whole speech below.

Her remarks begin at the 20:00 mark. A few highlights:

• "Here are four questions I hope Americans will ask of both candidates: First, which candidate has a real plan to create good-paying jobs? Second, who will restore fairness to our economy and ensure that those at the top pay their fair share of taxes? Third, who will really go to bat for working families? And fourth, who can bring people together to make a difference in people's lives?"

• "Even conservative experts say Trump's agenda will pull our economy back into recession."

• "Let's connect every household to broadband by 2020... And let's build a cleaner, more resilient power grid with enough renewable energy to power every home in our country as well."

• "We're going to invest $10 billion in 'Make it in America' partnerships to support American manufacturing and recommit to scientific research that can create entire new industries."

• She proposes a new "exit tax" for companies that move their headquarters overseas.

• She refers to something she's calling the Trump Loophole, which she says was first announced in Trump's speech on Monday. "It would allow him to pay less than half the current tax rate on income from many of his companies. He'd pay a lower rate than millions of middle class families."

• On that last point, she says, "One nonpartisan expert at the Tax Policy Center described this plan as, quote, 'a really nice deal'... for Donald Trump. Of course, it's hard to say how nice, because he refuses to do what every other Presidential candidate in decades has done and release his tax returns."

• She says that "the 400 richest taxpayers in America would get an average tax cut of more than $15 million a year from this loophole."

• She says that if Trump gets rid of the Estate Tax (which Trump of course calls the "death tax"), that alone "would save the Trump family $4 billion. But it would do nothing for 99.8 percent of Americans. Let me repeat that: the Trump family gets a $4 billion tax cut... and 99.8 percent of Americans get nothing."
