Small plate eatery Chop Shop Cafe & Bar shuttered suddenly today, according to an employee. Restaurant representatives did not announce the closure through social media, but did post a note in the restaurant's glass door.

The restaurant, run by chef Erica Burke of Volunteer Park Cafe, opened in the Chophouse Row complex on 11th Street and East Pike Street in July 2015. Chop Shop had just relaunched their website, according to a recent Facebook post.

Chop Shop representatives declined to provide comment about the closure.
