As of this afternoon, King County Councilman Joe McDermott (20.5 percent) has fallen slightly further behind former State Representative Brady Walkinshaw (21.3 percent) in the primary election to represent the 7th Congressional District, which includes parts of King and Snohomish counties.

Also: In the 8th Congressional District, which includes King, Pierce, Kittitas, and Chelan counties, zombie campaigner and former TV reporter Tony Ventrella, who dropped out of the race last month, leads Santiago Ramos 17.6 percent to 13.2 percent.

About 25 percent of the returned ballots have been processed statewide, a media representative with the Secretary of State's office wrote in an e-mail.
