Dan, I read your article on the baker refusing to bake a birthday cake for a lesbian. Personally, I think it should be a matter of choice for the bakery owner. The LBGT community fought and earned the right to legally marry ect. I personally think that is great. But while their rights were so important, other people's rights became less important? They should have the right to marry who they wish to marry, but a business owner should not be able to choose who he/she chooses to do business with? Why?

And as for your comments on the gun dealers at gun shows not doing background checks, please tell me where these gun shows take place. Every gun sale, by a business, is required by law to do complete and pass a background check. Your lack of using facts in your article strips any credibility from your work. Pretty sure one of the first things you should do as a journalist is check the facts.

Two fact-free swings, two fact-free misses. I have a column to bang out. If anyone out there reading Slog would care to set Scott here straight on basic (and hard-won) civil rights laws/protections and the gun show loophole(s), have at.
