This week's Youth Pastor Watch is dedicated to Anne Graham Lotz...

Anne Graham Lotz is one of Billy Graham's daughters and she has a wide-ranging career as a speaker and author. In person she's delightful. On a platform she's mesmerising; her father said she was the best preacher in the family. She is thoughtful and spiritual. She also believes that God has punished America for turning away from him by sending storms, earthquakes and terrorist attacks. Or, as PinkNews put it: "Pastor Anne Graham: God let 9/11 happen because of transgender people in bathrooms".

If it weren't for the "silliness" and "craziness" of treating LGBT citizens equally — and allowing trans people to use the appropriate restrooms — God would "reveal the plots of terrorists" to the authorities before terrorists have a chance to strike. "I think that's why God allows bad things to happen," Lotz said in a radio interview. "I think that'd why he would allow 9/11 to happen, or the dreadful attack in San Bernardino. To show us we need him." Lotz wasn't asked why God allows rapey youth pastors to prey on the children of the devout.

FLORIDA: "A 26-year-old youth minister is facing sexual battery charges following his arrest. In court on Monday morning, Judge John Conrad increased Sam Sutter’s bond to $100,000. It was originally set at $75,000. According to a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office report, Sutter was involved in a sexual relationship with a teenage girl he met through his job at the Openwater Church located on Race Track Road in Odessa. Investigators say Sutter had sex with the victim at his Tampa residence and on at least two occasions in a bathroom at the church."

TEXAS: "A Santa Maria youth pastor and aspiring Christian rapper charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl numerous times pleaded guilty Monday and will be sentenced to eight years in state prison for his crimes. Daniel James Moreno, 25, pleaded guilty to a single count of continuous sexual abuse of a child and a count of lewd and lascivious acts with a child, according to prosecuting attorney Brandon Jebens... Prosecutors believe Moreno started having sex with the 14-year-old girl in September 2015. Moreno's wife, Katrina Moreno, reported her husband to police after witnessing the two having sex, according to court records."

OREGON: "Attorneys for a girl who was molested by a church youth leader in The Dalles filed a $5 million lawsuit this week against the church —  claiming it should have learned how to protect children from sexual predators after a previous church leader molested a child. First Christian Church failed to develop child-protection protocols that might have stopped Michael Cele Stephens from molesting the girl starting when she was 12 or 13, the lawsuit says. Stephens was sentenced in April to 15 years in prison for sexually abusing the girl and five other girls, ages 13 to 15."

WASHINGTON: "A former Seattle firefighter has been sentenced to nearly four years in prison for the repeated rape of a teen he met through a theater group. The Bellingham Herald reports 54-year-old Michael James "Suey" Sulak convinced the girl who was under age 16 that they were in love. She reportedly ran away from her home to be with him in December 2013. Charging papers say in four days while her family was searching for her, Sulak raped the girl, in a Ferndale trailer and in a pickup in a Queen Anne parking lot near his firehouse. Sulak's plea deal suggesting he spend a year in jail with conditions fell apart after police reports emerged alleging another teen had been sexually abused by him when he was a youth pastor."
