Tim Kerr

Tim Kerr—who's mainly known around these parts as guitarist for the garage-rock supergroup the Monkeywrench, as well as a key member of important punk groups Big Boys and Poison 13—also has made a name for himself as a visual artist in Austin, Texas. It was recently announced that Seattle's Studio E Gallery will host a solo Kerr exhibition July 9 through August. (Studio E is open Fridays and Saturday 1 pm-6 pm or by appointment.) Kerr—who often works with young and marginalized people—has recently finished a mural at Compton, California's Wirtz Elementary school and also had a solo show at the Rosa Parks Museum in Troy, Alabama.
