In 2009, local artist and creative community builder Joey Veltkamp hosted a series of Artist Salons in a Seattle University building basement, ostensibly for the purpose of establishing the University's first Visual Artist-in-Residence program. Cheap red wine was drunk, chance poetry created, fruitcake thrown against walls, community fostered. Amanda Manitach, Hedreen Gallery curator, invites him to host another 4-part series; this is the first installment.
