Nectar is a comfortable, multi-level, intimate club hosting eclectic live music nightly. While weekends are a total par-tay scene, the big outdoor patio is a nice chill spot (and heated in winter), especially at happy hour when pitchers are cheap and there are food specials galore (perfect for a pre-funk).

Hot Hot Hot

Nectar is THE place in Fremont for fresh + wild music-- they have all kinds of shows from hip-hop, electronic, to latin and rock. LOVE the venue, especially the huge outdoor smoking area, and it's got two floors so you can always find a way to watch the music. Friendly bartenders + okay drink prices. Only problem? This place is too small for the acts they book, the dance floor is more often than not too packed to play around so people have to spill outside where it can be cold. :( Then, packed to the gills with giddy, sweaty funk-freaks the place gets hot as a sauna-- even worse upstairs. Still, great sound, hot people, solid drinks, excellent music-- check it out!

Worst show promotion management ever!

I don't know if it was the promoter or the venue, but you guys seriously need to get your mess in order. The Datarock show was a total disaster. Whomever booked Mad Rad should be fired.

What's up with the pizza?

I usually like this bar for happy hour drinks, but a few days ago I ordered a pizza(vegeterian but cant remember the name) and when it came to the table I immediately noticed three short hairs in the cheese. The crust was WAY under cooked and the tomatoes had a rubbery texture. Gross. I could not eat it and told the waitress. She rufunded the money but was a bitch about it. I went to use the bathroom and as I passed by the kitchen I saw an italian looking guy with a fucking gross mustache rolling pizza dough. He was sweating badly and after each pizza roll he wiped the sweat off his forehead with the same hands he was rolling the dough with. When I saw how disgusting he looked I wanted drink a bottle of bleach and lay down. GROSS!!

Truly hard to top. Fantastic pizza, cheap beer and typically great servers.

Happy hour goodness!

For under $5 you can get some pretty excellent pizzas, nachos, breadstix, etc. Cheap pitchers, cheap food, great outdoor seating makes for a good time!
