I love the Mexi-Fries!

This place has a great savory breakfast dish for vegetarians called Mexi Fries. It is a massive plate of potatoes sauteed with veggies and topped with cheese and salsa. My S.O. and I usually split 1 order of Mexi Fries and split a fruit bowl and are both stuffed. The tofu scramble is also good. Why I give it 5 stars for breakfast is that they are willing to substitute (for a fee) tofu for eggs. I really appreciate that, and it's one of the reasons we return to this breakfast spot and are willing to wait forever for a table.

Always Awesome

Although there tends to be a long wait on the weekends, the Hi Spot has fantastic coffee/lattes and great tasting and creative breakfast options. My favorite is the green eggs and ham; eggs with pesto, ham and mozzarella cheese. The whole- wheat toast is to die for and the service has always been consistent. Adding to all of this is the fact that the restaurant is in a cute old house in Madrona that they've turned into a restaurant! I have recommended The Hi Spot to all of my friends and family!
