Cain Davis, chairman of Citizens for Good Public Policy, said the issue is about regulating a "government gone wild" and ensuring public safety, charging that sexual predators could now simply enter a women's restroom claiming to be a transgender individual.

Because before this law, male sexual predators always thought, "I can't go in there, that's the girls' bathroom." Yet Davis insists that, somehow, "We know when men go into women's restrooms, bad things can happen."

Also, the gay comment did not strike me as particularly derogatory. The "Paki" comments were the most unseemly, but it sounds like that term is used fairly frequently (not that that's right), and he was probably trying to fit in. I'm sure things have been said by American soldiers that are a thousand times worse, but they're not British royalty, so nobody gives a shit.
