Was still awake when it hit, saw the flash through my closed eyes. I honestly wasn't sure whether it had been thunder or a terrorist attack.

Then turned on the teevee and started watching, saw the second flash out of the corner of my eye, then saw it again on the teevee screen (from Redmond). "Thunder snow", according to the teevee people. New one for my lexicon!

When I looked out my window, there was no sign of snow on the sidwalks or the freeway. 15 minutes later there were at least a couple of inches on the ground everywhere.
