Although I have a firm, personal position on Prop 8, I find it useless for EITHER side to be hateful or mean spirited. When I commented that his sign wasn't helpful, I wasn't being snide about the movement in general (I'm sorry if it came off that way), rather I become sincerely frustrated when humans are mean-spirited toward each other. I think in this case, I have felt like the gay community bears more responsibility to act tolerant (yes, even of the religious nuts) having often been targeted and blamed themselves. I become just as ticked off when I see someone supporting Prop 8 who's basis of conviction is from ignorance, judgment and hate.

Well, it isn't "GOD HATES FAGS" which I've seen plenty of times on the other sides picket signs.
