State law requires disclosure of investments worth $10,000 or more.

Androphy said investments are typically purchased with an eye toward selling at a profit later, while Mumpower "may want to be buried with them or leave them to his family or something."

Besides, Androphy said, the law is aimed at giving notice of financial interests that could pose a conflict with an official's public duties.

A comic book collection, he said, "doesn't strike me as something the public would need to know about." Androphy said his comments were off the cuff, and he might need to research the matter for a definitive answer.

Mumpower, who is expected to be elected [Tennessee] House speaker in January by Republicans with a post-election 50-vote majority in House, said he keeps a list of all his comic books on a computer. He also reads a comic book each night before going to bed, Mumpower said.
Comic books? Not a problem for House leader
Republican doesn't need to list as investment
I just have to vent. I can’t fucking stand meat eaters and the way you push your immoral and unhealthy practices on others. I’m vegan, and all I want is for people to respect our choice to not eat meat, but no. Every time we go a restaurant and everyone else is eating meat, we get ostrichized. FUCK YOU lard bags, all of you are candidates for strokes and heart-attacks, sitting on your computers jerking off and getting fatter and fatter. Look at my face, make you hard nerds? Will as long as you eat meat you’ve never got a shot at touching a girl like me. And guess what? When I eat, I don’t have to commit murder to fill my belly. What is your rational? It’s okay to mutilate and eat animals cuz they are less intelligent? Would you mutilate and eat a mentally challenged person? Think of the starving people in Africa that could have been fed with the produce that was used to fatten your fat, pot-bellied cows. I hope you all rot in hell. I want you to watch this video: http://www.kentuckyfriedcruelty.com/f-kf…. If you have a shred of decency, you will see my point, but if not, when you’re touching yourself tonight thinking about a girl like me, why don’t you just do the rest of the world a favor and rip your dicks off. Jerks.

Oh Man, screw substantive policy talk, I would love to ask Obama what he thought about Ultimate Spiderman or the "Clone Saga" or "One More Day" ... Oh God, I am a hopeless dork.

If he had said his favorite comic book was "Promethea," "Planetary," "Preacher" or "Transmetropolitan," however, I would be in favor of declaring him dictator for life.

I read that somebody asked John Edwards who his favorite superhero was and he said Superman and I was all, like, "Yeah, you would say Superman. Pshhhh. Stupid Edwards."

And then I went back to painstakingly painting my pewter tabletop miniatures.
