Schmader I totally agree, the show is damn funny. There are certain segments that I haven't enjoyed, lots of the crappy monologue, but last night's show seemed to be done well in all areas.

I do like how a good comedian, like him or Joel, can sort of sit there for a while and goofily grin and not say anything and they still communicate humor.

Whenever I see Chris Hardwick I am transported back to Singled Out. It makes me feel kind of old. He is one of those magical people, like Paul Rudd, who seems to be getting hotter as he gets older. How do they do that? Lucky bastards.

Somewhat ironically, I don't know if I have the stomach for it.

I will say that the second episode--filmed in front of a live studio audience, which helps Tosh play to his strengths--was much more enjoyable than the first. (And the fact that Daniel called Carlos Mencia "Ned" on ComedyCentral was a particular treat for some of us!)

The more Tosh there is in Tosh.0, the more I'll like it.

Web Soup is definitely a closer clone of The Soup than Tosh.0, and can be easier to enjoy casually...but Chris Hardwick (of the comedy/music duo Hard & Phirm) definitely has his nerd/alt-comedy cred.

Both of these shows are better than WebJunk w/Jim Breuer ever was...

I just wish someone would skip the cheap "make fun of other people's stuff" show design and give either Hardwick or Tosh the chance to create THEIR show.

Eventually, don't we have to hope that funny, talented people will be given the chance to create...and not just comment?
