Manchildren and womenchildes trying to shoehorn the "best" of their frat/sorority lifestyle long past their expiration date are probably worse.

Partying is fun, and plenty of it can be found in the city, but being mad that Seattle doesn't pack the mystique of Vegas or some other trashfest shows that you've missed the point. If you want to "defy standards", maybe you should actually do something counterculture. Getting trashed and playing nouveau riche at the bottle clubs with someone else's money isn't subverting any dominant paradigm.

Try actually having fun without waiting for the cameras to show you how much fun you're having so you can share it with the rest of your rapidly declining sorority sisters? Sheesh. There are different experiences in each city, you don't have to replicate shitty megaclubs everywhere you go.

You are everything that is wrong with Seattle. Your sideways "hipster ideals" are as ridiculous as trying to put down a woman who came to Seattle to start a new career. What's wrong with that? What's wrong with being a little homesick from a city you lived in for 7 years? I'm sure you don't get off the hill much so you wouldn't understand.

Mrs. Mainville also threw an event the first week she moved to Seattle that raised over $5000 for local Seattle charities. Geez...what worthless human being that only cares about champagne showers!

Continue the great work over there at The Stranger by putting down fellow Seattleites that only want to make this a more diverse and unique place to live. Great journalism!

Patsy's simply cannot cut it in Seattle, no matter how many fancy stores, chic hotels and sky-high condos they build. At the end of the day, We're the Saffy of cities. It just won't work.
