I wonder what exponential compounding would have done if the first shekel ever invented had been invested and earnings reinvested --  since 5000 BC to the present.  Say, 7,000 years at just 6%.  doesn 't that double in 7 years?  so, 1,000 doublings.  or looking the other way, if your antecessors are 2 rents, 2 grandparents, and it's only what 40 generations to jesus, isn't half the world population back then one of your great great greats?<br>
