I am pro-pot (all drug decriminalization, actually), but absolutely hate the smell of weed. Yuck.

In my apt. building someone smokes weed and it stinks up the entire floor. If you want to get high in public, or live in a apartment building, and can't afford some sort of high tech filtering German nebulizer bong thingy, BUY HASH AND MAKE BROWNIES!!!

In a civil society your right to freedom should end where my right to be free from your shit begins. For all I could care you could shoot up in public (provided you dispose of the sharps), that would be less obnoxious than smoking (incl cigars, cigarettes, & weed). Airborne shit can't be avoided.

Same goes with cologne and perfume, even scented fabric softener. Some of us have severe allergies. Be kind, air is a shared resource in urban environments.

It ought to be obvious to anyone that not all of us want to inhale the byproducts of whatever you're smoking. I don't appreciate second hand pot smoke any more than I do second hand tobacco smoke (ok, so I do prefer it slightly, but it's still gross).

Enjoy your new found freedom, which I voted for enthusiastically. But please be considerate. If it were up to me, I'd bring powerful speakers and drown out your shitty music, but I don't out of politeness.

If bros in front of your are smoking a little, okay. The pregnant lady is going to be fine. If they're smoking joint after joint, why not ask them to cool it? You just ask nicely, and if they're cool they'll do it, and if not you can talk really loud and say I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU GUYS AREN'T COOL ENOUGH TO SMOKE YOUR WEED AWAY FROM THIS WOMAN WHO'S WITH CHILD!!

I think maybe if you dropped the anonymous bit and just spoke up, most people would be cool about it, and if they weren't you'd get the satisfaction of shaming them.

What ever happened to the good old days when it was your duty to try and smuggle in the biggest bong possible not to mention enough weed to get everyone high and take enough LSD that you don't know if your in another persons dream get naked and smear glow sticks all over your body?

BTW, nicotine is psychoactive, too -- it affects neurotransmitters in the brain, and can be either a powerful stimulant or a depressant, depending on dosage. We just don't usually think of it that way because it's never been illegal.

Pot is much worse than tobacco be because it's psychoactive, and people should have the right to not inhale that stuff.

Some people have mental illnesses that are triggered by pot inhalation.
Personally, I enjoy the occasional accidental high, but I totally respect people's right not to get high without their consent.
