Good thing, too. The Republicans are going to run a vibrant young person, or a semi-plausible simulacrum of one, and youth and energy will win. The Dems need to find someone between ~45-55, with a little leeway on the young side for a noticeably fresh bombshell candidate, a Kennedy -- any of which who existed would already be known -- and they are not.

Don't get me wrong; I think Clinton is a great public servant. She would have plenty of energy to continue in the Senate, if she were still there. She could even be a president; but she can't RUN for president, which is a different, and much, much harder, job.

Get somebody better. Start now. Start two years ago.

The clot is entirely benign, people, and thank goodness. I think Secretary Clinton looks really good for her age. She's just greying is all, which is what happens to men and women both. It's just that men are allowed to walk around in public with grey hair and wrinkly skin and women are not.* Still, her choice of a vice-president might be crucial.

But you've sort of accidentally identified that the issue is how strategies should change as the kiddoes get older.
