Major props for the intro! People are always so invested in issues that do not affect them. As someone who is rendered effectively disabled from chronic inflammation throughout my body, this debate can be depressing.

I was treated with conventional care options first, and they were either ineffective or needed a complement. Opioids make me feel sick, conflict with other medications, and have serious long-term side-effects. Throughout the day, I regularly take breaks for physical therapy, yoga, TENs, NSAIDs, PMR, spasmolytics, Bengay, and pot. It is the combination that is most helpful.

I can say that being able to have a "normal" day, being able to fulfill my duties to survive, is a miracle. God forbid it even encourages a little fun on occasion. When you are in blinding and crippling pain all day, every day, briefly being able to enjoy something hardly feels like a crime. Please remind me how that imposes on the rights of others, again???
