What did I like most about the movie? Samuel L. Jackson, who plays a badass bounty hunter. As for Kurt Russell, I think he gives one of the best performances of his career. What did I not like about the movie? Two things: One, Kurt Russell vomiting blood on the face of Jennifer Jason Leigh. I will never recover from that image. Two, the number of times the n-word was used. It’s estimated by The Root that the word is said 66 times in The Hateful Eight. That’s a fucking lot. Why does the director like that word so much? Yes, the c-word (cracker) was used a few times, but not with the same relish, intensity, and determination of the n-word. Would I watch the movie again?
