ā€œā€¦Scott, who voted for Chopp as recently as 2021ā€¦ā€

Howā€™d he do that? Chopp was on the ballot every even-numbered year, like everyone else in the state House (aside from special elections to fill vacancies) - so he wouldnā€™t have been on the ballot in 2021.

Seriously, errors on basic facts like this are making The Stranger less credible by the minuteā€¦

ā€œEven with the Democrats' majority in the Legislature, the party consistently bends to the whim of Republicansā€“votes they donā€™t have to earn, allies they donā€™t have to keep to get anything passed.ā€

And the 6 state initiatives, with thousands more signatures than required, where 3 are enacted and other 3 could likely pass this fall, would say differently. But donā€™t let reality get in the way of the narrative.

Seattle has experienced "Progressive" governance during the last 10 years. Results: record murders, homelessness, overdoses, cost-of-housing, property crime, and car thefts.

Seattle has moved on from "Progressives".
