Oh please. I own a Bushmaster AR-15 (and many other guns) and the only thing I've ever shot at are paper targets. I don't intend on using for anything but that unless there is a zombie apocalypse or mass rioting that threatens me personally.
One of the things I find most interesting about the gun debate is the concern for law-abiding gun owners. The problem with this group is that they can go from law abiding to law ignoring with disastrous consequences. In Florida, for example, a white man in town for a wedding shot into the back of a vehicle next to him at a gas station over the loudness of the victim's music. Obviously, he packed his guns to attend the wedding and when he did so, I doubt he did it thinking that while he was in FL, he was going to shoot some kids over some stupid arguement but that is what he did.
I know that we shouldn't talk about gun control immediately after school shooting travesties, but we're having a school shooting every week so should we wait for them to just leave the zeitgeist on their own before we talk about what changes could help the situation?
I feel we should be going the other way on the gun control- Guns should be mandatory. If every teacher was packing at (insert any school that has had a shooting) the gunman would not have gotten as far as he did.
Speaking of 'he' I notice no females have gone on a rampage.
