         <title>Oh, What a Weekend Line Out Had</title>
         <description><![CDATA[<p>It was a hell of a weekend for Seattle, as far as live music goes. For four nights, <strong>Decibel Fest</strong> took over Seattle's <a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/09/decibel_in_the_park">parks</a> and <a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/09/decibel_festival_v05_night_3">clubs</a>, for two days <strong>Monotonix</strong> <a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/09/monotonix">took over</a> the <a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/09/re_not_even_the_comet_can_hold_those_mon">streets</a>, and on Saturday <strong>Akimbo</strong> celebrated <a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/09/akimbos_tenth_birthday_king_cobra">10-years</a> of being one of the loudest bands in the city.</p>

<p><a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/08/saul_williams_vs_man_man">Man Man</a> made a new fan (fan) out of me; Saul Williams made Black Nationalists out of a bunch of white folks.</p>

<p><a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/08/bum_brrrrr_shoot_day_one">Darando</a> made up some new words for old desires.</p>

<p><a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/08/_chk_chk_chk_if_youre_google">!!!</a> threw a rave on the Fisher Green.</p>

<p><a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/09/ti">TI</a> brought heat, summoned smoke, and blew the crowd away.</p>

<p><a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/09/bumbershoot_day_2_i_am_a_madman_yay">Lee "Scratch" Perry</a> put the "dub" in dubious mental health.</p>

<p><a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/09/omg_myspace_is_sooo_funny">Upright Citizen's Brigade and Human Giant</A> begged the question, Is facebook is too edgy for improv comdey?</p>

<p><a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/09/the_weakerthans">The Weakerthans</a> renewed my faith in having my faith renewed.</p>

<p><a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/09/snakes_in_the_bass_cave">These Arms Are Snakes and Brother Ali</a> looked great, sounded like a "big bassy fart."</p>

<p><a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/09/the_saturday_knights">The Saturday Knights</a> cooked a hot rock out out of the Fleet Foxes "White Winter Hymnal."</p>

<p><a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/09/quiet_keys_and_a_crumbled_temple">The Black Keys</a> struggled with the size of Memorial Stadium.</p>

<p><a href="">Stone Temple Pilots</a> reminded me how much I hated every minute of my life in 1993.</p>

<p><a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/09/monotonix_and_the_4song_set">Monotonix</a> rocked too hard, got shut down after 14 mintues.</p>

<p><a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/09/bumbershoot_day_3_battles_rule_seattle">Battles</a> bent the Space Needle to their own vision of the future; Dan Deacon passed out the bug juice.</p>

<p><a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/09/two_gallants">Two Gallants</a> gallantly entertained on an afternoon lawn.</p>

<p><a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/09/superchunk_1">Superchunk</a> just ruled.</p>

<p><a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/09/monday_unsurprisingly_good">Black Eyes and Neckties</a> played KEXP and no one got hurt.</p>

<p><a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/09/death_cab_for_cutie">Death Cab For Cutie</a> drove me home.</p>

<p><a href="http://lineout.thestranger.com/2008/09/i_wanted_almost_everything_at_flatstock">Flatstock</a> moved Megan Seling.</p>
