King County is, indeed, trending more toward Hilyer.
As of yesterday, Sanders was getting 51% as many votes from King as Hilyer (45173 to 88652). With today's drop, Sanders got 8279 and Hilyer got 18451, or only 44.9% as many votes as Hilyer. That's a big difference!!!
Currently, both the statewide and King county returns are at 28% turnout (so a good time to look at the current result), and the current outcome is Sanders ahead by 0.82%. I'm feeling more upbeat, especially with many more ballots to count...ballots that are trending towards Hilyer.
So sad... Looks like the best protector of personal liberty this state has seen in recent years will - again - be passed over in favor of a prison-happy judge. :-(
In case people want to compare (as results come in) today's results to where the results stood at the end of yesterday in order to look for trends in the 2nd place race between Sanders and Hilyer, this is where we stood at the end of yesterday at key counties that should report this evening:
I'm being lazy, and am not going to capture each day's total, just using the most recent data to determine the remaining ballots.
I still have Hilyer down by 5290 votes. However, as stated, I'm being lazy and not figuring out all of the daily stats for each county. So, based on the current results, right now, extrapolating from each county, Sanders takes second statewide, 27.78-27.32.
Honestly, though, that's a number that can easily change, in large part due to the massive amount of remaining ballots to count, and King County's probability of having more ballots to count than is being reported to the SoS.
