Yeah, very much. Too bad my shitty catholic high school isn't affiliated with them.

Very sweet! (Though I clicked on the headline expecting to see something you'd addressed to your 2005 self.)

I hear ya, martarose... except I'm crying at work now for two days in a row... aaahhhh man...

You know, it's really, really amazing to be able to actually witness the world changing - after so many years of thinking it never would - and now, before our very eyes, we see the world, to borrow a word, evolving - into a better, fairer, more just and loving place...

It's just... it's just........

does anybody have a tissue?

"I hope you live in Seattle and get to visit the beach every day."

Heh. Some dreams are bound to be crushed. Here's hoping it's always the less important ones.

I hope they all have someone to go home to each day, someone who truly "gets them" and totally accepts them and loves them deeply.

You suck, Dan. Why do you have to make me cry all the damn time? Those kids are awesome. Now I have to take my 40-year-old ass out for a run so that I can start becoming someone my 17-year-old self can be okay with.

that's a great thought, to think about it in reverse. not "is my 40 year old (in my case, 46 year old) self who my 17 year old self thought i would be?" but rather "is my 40/46 year old self someone my 17 year old self would be proud of?"

i kinda think so, actually. that feels good. thanks.

Dear 15yo me. One day in the future you WILL be happy and content and have a great house and family and travel and dogs. You no longer will be harassed and punched and called fag and be afraid and suicidal. Just wait.
