Many People Believe That Mitt Romney Has a Pulse, and Both of His Eyes Work, Too

Posted by on Mon, Apr 30, 2012 at 1:26 PM

Politico has a nice roundup of the incredibly cautious, mediocre endorsements Mitt Romney has been receiving lately. They're really something. Here's Romney "fan" Rudy Giuliani:

This reminds me of, you know, going to a surgeon, right?” Giuliani said on “Fox & Friends.”
“If I’ve got a terrible cancer or something to be operated on, when I had to be operated on for prostate cancer, I didn’t go to the nicest doctor, I went to the best doctor. The guy could have a great personality and tell jokes [and he] put the knife in the wrong way. On the other hand, if he’s a great doctor, that’s my guy. Now, Mitt Romney, this is overdone. Mitt Romney’s a nice guy, a good guy and he’s just as personable. I know both of them. I know Mitt better, but I know the president. Both are very nice men. President [Barack] Obama is not nicer than Mitt Romney or vice versa.”

And here's Romney "supporter" Mitch Daniels:

“You have to campaign to govern, not just to win,” Daniels said in the interview. “Spend the precious time and dollars explaining what’s at stake and a constructive program to make life better. And as I say, look at everything through the lens of folks who have yet to achieve.”
The columnist he spoke with wrote: “After a pause, Daniels added with disappointment: ‘Romney doesn’t talk that way.’”

The parade of backhanded compliments just keep coming! So the only question is...

having a pulse does not equate to having a heart.

Because Ron Paul won't endorse Mitt Romney because Ron Paul is still in this race! Ron Paul for the LONG HAUL!

Last minute victory! Super gold standard clutch nomination! Feel the rEVOLution! We're still in this, baby, yeah!

Why didn't you include Ron Paul? Why doesn't he have a voting option for the poll? WHY DOES EVERYONE IGNORE RON PAUL?!?!

Romney may not have the lustrous, patriotic pelt of a mama grizzly, but he does have the six pendulous, brown teats.

SR of the U @ 3, why do you feel you were hoodwinked? Would you not rally around Romney at convention time? Who do you feel would be a more acceptable, if not better, candidate?

As a republican, I feel like we were hoodwinked.

I've sensing a lot of ground-level support for a brokered convention.

"He has an 'R' next to his name." As tenuous a reason for support as it is honest.

How about Jimmy Carter, who said Romney was a "fairly competent governor"?
