President Obama Reads Where the Wild Things Are

Posted by on Mon, Apr 9, 2012 at 1:29 PM

This is the best thing you'll see all day. There's video (with terrible audio) here, and here is proof that he's read from the same book before, which is worse than reading from a teleprompter, because only socialists read the same book twice.

"Only socialists read books that aren't the Bible or a Reagan biography."

Fixed that for you.

And only college-educated snobs read books at all. What an elitist.

Plus, it's a children's book, and everyone knows children are looters and parasites who expect everything to be handed to them.

I hear that Comrade Mittens likes to read books in the original Archaic French, which is a skill he picked up while living in France in a French Castle for a few years.

That said, I love discussing old plays with him, as he understands the tri-level humor approach, of absurdist base level, proletarian center theme, and literary allusion at the top, which most Americans never get.

Given what happened to GWB, a president reading a children's book on camera just seems like it's asking for trouble.

Obama's halting, deadpan Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is the all time best.

This pleases me greatly. That is my favorite book of all time.

It's so cool when two-faced authoritarians take a break from destroying the lives of innocent people in order to read beloved children's books to kids!

Obama has made sure that lots of kids will never read a book again. But they weren't Americans and he's not a Republican, so it's all good.

@8: It must be wonderful to live in a world where things are so black-and-white, and people are either s100% good or else irredeemably bad, and there is no such thing as moral compromise or in fact compromise of any kind.
