An official pardon for his '90s-era drug offenses! LA Times:

Actor Robert Downey Jr., who spent time behind bars in the late 1990s on drug convictions, received a Christmas Eve pardon from Gov. Jerry Brown, effectively scrubbing his criminal record clean.

How long did he spend in prison again?

Downey had a long history of problems with drugs and the law, including repeated arrests in 1996. In total, the actor served two years, eight months.

Remember that time he crawled into his neighbor's house and snuggled up in a random bedroom?

Downey entered the multileveled home through an open door and probably descended a circular staircase of about 70 stairs before finding a spare bedroom. There he laid his pants neatly over a chair and, wearing a T-shirt and boxer shorts, tucked himself into the sheets and fell asleep.

Anyway, merry Christmas, famous Hollywood person! All those prisoners serving huge sentences in federal prisons for non-violent drug offenses should be so lucky. As has been noted: "Obama’s pardons and commutations are infinitesimal when compared to the size of the federal prison system, which houses over 200,000 prisoners."

How many people has Obama pardoned? Two.
