Now Open

Dumpling Tzar

At long last, Dumpling Tzar is open in the 12th Avenue Arts building on Capitol Hill, joining eateries Rachel's Ginger Beer and U:Don Noodle Station. It's the second location of the popular Fremont spot that serves Russian beef-and-potato dumplings topped with sour cream and butter—and, if you want, curry, cheese, or bacon-and-onion relish. The restaurant is open until 2:30 a.m. daily and has a full bar.

Pike's Pit Bar-B-Que

New to Pike Place market, Pike’s Pit serves slow-roasted, wood-smoked pork, beef brisket, and chicken in sandwiches or by the pound to go. There are also massive (but portable) turkey legs that you can order dry or smothered in sauce, as well as sides such as Cowboy Caviar (black-eyed pea salad) and smoked, stuffed potatoes.

Bread and Circuses at The Woods

Along with its popular food truck, Bread and Circuses has opened a permanent kitchen inside the Woods, the tasting room of Two Beers Brewing Company in Sodo. Beer drinkers can now fill their bellies with snacks such as duck-fat popcorn with brewer’s yeast, brussels sprout Caesar salad, mac ’n’ beer cheese, and the Circus Burger with bacon and arugula on a bone-marrow-slathered bun. Pet owners, take note: Bread and Circuses also has a dish of chicken and rice on its dog menu.

Restaurant Closures
Satay, which served Malaysian street food in Wallingford for five years, has closed. And on Capitol Hill, the owners of Manhattan have announced that the bar and restaurant will close this Sunday, November 22. As a thank you to its customers, Manhattan will be serving its happy hour menu during regular hours all week long.
