Not everyone on the Stranger Election Control Board knew what a summer shandy was before this election season started. But while dealing with record-breaking heat and the 47 fuckwits hopefuls running for city council (plus a few more running for Seattle's port commission and school board), we all figured it out real quick.

Still, just to be sure our advice to "pop open a shandy, tear open your ballot, and vote how we tell you" was sound, we tried it ourselves this week and... yep. Works great.

Ballots are due by Tuesday, August 4. Try it yourself this weekend.
