The anti-discrimination law in Idaho already contains the four words "mental or physical disability", which is essentially what the religious conservatives there already think LGBT-ism is. So why not hold them to it, and start out by throwing that back in their faces (instead of/along with creamed corn)?
"They've agitated for laws giving them special protections available to no one else."
It's like Seattleblues complaining that hate crime laws unfairly benefit racial and religious minorities, since they're the ones more likely to be the targets of hate crimes. Some people envy the unfortunate for the helping hands extended to them, when they should instead be happy that they themselves aren't in a position where they need the help.
"The United States of America is a Christian nation"
President John Adams and the Fifth United States Congress disagree with this assclown. Treaty of Tripoli, Article 11.
If this guy is "preaching politics", doesn't this make whatever church he represents a political organization? In other words, shouldn't he be submitted to all the laws concerning political organizations, and most importantly, have his tax-exempt status be removed?
"The practice of homosexuality" -- so this would only apply to officially licensed, card-carrying homosexuals who have passed the official gay bar exam. The rest of us amateurs will be safe. :-)
He's right enough that only one side can win (either homosexuality becomes fully accepted by society or else it doesn't) but a "battle for survival"? Does he believe that gay militias are going to come through Christian towns, killing and raping as they go?

You'd figure he'd go with the tried and true 3/5ths of a person compromise since that's already in the Constitution.
Also, that man is an idiot.
That is why you are an asshole Dan et al.
It's the same type of shit (propaganda) that for years stigmatized homosexuality
You are no better than those punk motherfucker Christians who actually think like that
