F' em. They are both operating illegally. They pay their drivers shit while raking in piles of money. Lack of regulation also means lack of legal protection for these shenanie's. You reap what you sow muthafucks!
Really? That's your response? We can no longer hold anyone accountable because of capitalism? WTF? Has there ever been a successful socialist country? Meanwhile there's been many successful countries that blend capitalism and socialism together. Capitalism is the devil that the socialist makes it out to be, but it does have serious problems that can be solved by blending with socialist policies.
@6 I've no idea who you or Charles want to hold accountable because of capitalism, as for the rest of your post.
"Has there ever been a successful socialist country?" That would be a YES.
"Meanwhile there's been many successful countries that blend capitalism and socialism together. Capitalism is the devil that the socialist makes it out to be, but it does have serious problems that can be solved by blending with socialist policies. "
Ok you are confusing a number of things here so a bit of unpacking is needed.
1. Socialism is not Communism.
2. Marxism is first and foremost a critique of Capitalism not in and of itself a governing philosophy.
3. Communism is an attempt to build off Marxism and create a governing philosophy. Just as Representative Democracy is an attempt to build off Capitalism to create a governing philosophy.*
4. Yes it can be argued that Socialism is a mix of Marxist and Capitalist economic philosophies but not at all the way you phrased it.
*I'm trying to be brief here so getting into the whole types of governing structures..... Oh fuck it just go read The Republic by Plato.
Nobody should be surprised by this. The head of their NYC operations did exactly the same thing last year. The employees are just following the lead of senior management.
Creative destruction is socialism
Destruction is also Liebertarianism (aka Ayn Rand)
