Yes, it's such a shame to see how far Morgan Fairchild has fallen, especially after she was nominated for an Academy Award for her breathtaking role in Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2.

I too was caught off guard by the Corbin Bernsen writer/director credit. Checked out his wikipedia page via the link and, sure enough, he's a goofball Christian. Far more importantly, via that same link, I learned that "Bernsen has one of the largest snow globe collections in the world. Bernsen said in an interview on Marie by Marie Osmond on January 21, 2013 that he had 8,000 snow globes in his collection."

So that's... something.

Yea, this movie would have been so much funnier from an atheist, agnostic, or even Jewish perspective.

Think about it, atheist gal has to introduce her stereotypical Christian love to her stereotypical Hasidic Jew family. Let the quirks begin!

"You're going to be the last [single woman] standing." Ohhh, the horror! The unspeakable pain of being a single woman over thirty! No such female has ever survived such aaaaagony!

I know that most rom-coms aren't distinguished by their progressive view of gender roles, but the female lead in this one seem even more desperate for a guy (any guy) than usual.

...and another thing: at one point in the trailer, one of the female lead's friends says, in a voice of shocked disapproval, "But you met him online!"

True fact: Corbin Bernsen played the Easter Bunny in an episode of SNL that he hosted in spring 1990, to Jon Lovitz's "Hannukah Harry". Perhaps that role inspired him to make this film.

I'd guessed that Mr Bernsen's wandering into a role on Seventh Heaven was just part of his Not Having Aged Well, but this certainly makes just as much sense.
