When I lived in Portland, I had a heroin addict steal my car, drive around in it with his girlfriend until the police caught him driving it a few blocks from my house the next day. Thankfully the cops didn't impound it because they called us right away and we came to the scene. They had thrown out our CDs that they didn't like (including some original one of a kind music recorded by my brother in law), and left beer bottles, lunch meat and uncooked hot dogs all over the floor. They had a key from another car model that worked in our door and ignition so nothing was broken. I was really angry until I looked him up on myspace and found his untouched (for 2 years) account which showed how excited he was to "finally get clean and turn my life around" - obviously that didn't happen. I just felt sad for him after that, and he ended up going to jail. I still wonder about him and whether he's doing better now.
Brownie benefit party at Vermillion, because we all want to be friends with Bridget! "Brave Cats are Never the Answer" T-Shirts for sale, all proceeds go to a condo cleanup and drug treatment facility. Just sayin'.
Seriously, I just can't help but add another comment to the kind, non-judgmental, and understanding nature of this person. My god, were something all messed-up like that to happen in my house, I don't know if my kindness would prevail.
It's weird to give awards to people just for being human beings, but this person is la creme de la creme of the human race. I hope she wants to reproduce because I'd like more of these kind of folks around.
I love this person.
