2015 United Indians of All Tribes Foundation Seafair Powwow Brought to you by Tulalip Resort Casino
or Brought to you by the Puyallup Tribe Firecracker Alley
I went to this when I first moved here and it was so beautiful. Tourists would love this. Surely there is a way to raise money. It seems such a valuable contribution to Washington.
Seriously, how much do we need to make this happen?
Perhaps, it's time to give the Seafair Powwow a bit more independence as an event to raise funds and engage participants.
Perhaps, the Seafair Powwow could take lessons learned from other local communities like Seattle Pride and Seattle Pride Festival, which are separate entities, both from each other and other community nonprofits, and are uniquely funded and managed events, yet they have formed sustainable connections within the community that make it possible for both events to be held together in a strong spirit of cooperation while maintaining a unique identity, funding, logistics and organizational structures.
What do you think about giving the powwow a greater measure of independence to find its own interdependence?

Does that mean they are holding a War Council instead?
