"British efforts to monitor YouTube views, Facebook likes, and Blogger visits;"

I shouldn't have to tell a reporter this, but British efforts to monitor the internet aren't revelations regarding the NSA. You see, the NSA is an American intelligence gathering organization, and as such intelligence gatherings from non-American organizations are completely irrelevant to the topic given in the headline. Also, if you follow your links back, you find Publicola links to sources that do not support their assertion. For example, claims of cooperation in the NSA's MUSCULAR program are backed up by a three page document that discloses no such cooperation. The limit of the cooperation was allowing members of the GCHQ to read those three pages.

Junk reporting on junk reporting. Nothing of substance here.
