Bezos doesn't give a shit about this and nor do is MicroZon minions. "Human Rights" and unions... it's so quaint that The Stranger thinks they give a fuck about THAT!!
2
"Universal Declaration of Human Rights."

Oooo, that'll have a lot of swing in a US court.
3
Yes, we need the SEIU to help turn Seattle into Deeeetroit.

"The fact that they're calling Amazon out is a big deal."

Thanks for the laugh.

Um, that letter will be returned as undeliverable. Amazon hasn't been at that address (the old Public Health hospital on 12th South) for eons. Does no one at City Hall have even the remotest idea about the headquarters location of its biggest private-sector employer?

@5
You realize that the people that run Seattle arent the brightest bulbs, right?

and HEY! Paul Constant is doing a two-fer today on anti-amazon rants! woohoo! The stranger slips more and more into being an irrelevant joke(even more than it already is)

and of course the usual Keshmeshi anti-amazon gulpity-gulp will come along in 3....2...1.....

This letter cost taxpayer dollars.

This letter was directed to the wrong company (Amazon rather than Security Industry Specialists), does not indicate any law violations, and doesn't actually require Amazon to do anything.

Look, I'm a fan of effective government as much as the next guy, but even I get a bit annoyed when my taxpayer money goes to useless crap like this.

If you don't like that your tax dollars go to enforcing Seattle's commitment to human rights, as flimsy as that commitment may be and as toothless as that enforcement might be, go ahead and lobby to repeal Seattle's expressed commitment to the UDHR. Or move to a city that has no such commitment. I hear that in Tulsa no tax payer dollars go to enforcing human rights of any kind.

Quaint, hell. Always go straight to the top. I like that strategy, and even if it's just a symbolic gesture at this point, symbolic gestures can go an awful long ways towards inspiring people to act and help them feel good about it. I wonder if all these critics of the Commission aren't being paid by Jeff Bezos and his goons? Are the checks in the mail yet guys and gals? Forget it, Yournamehere12345, these sheeple aren't going anywhere anytime soon. They're on the payroll. Great point, by the way.

Unlike this beautiful cover of the song, I believe we've now officially heard the first bad thing about Tulsa:

('Tell Me Something Bad About Tulsa' - Cover)
