People who didn't hear "Louie Louie" in a college "mixer" in real time (1963!) missed out on the very best that life has to offer.

I compare the Kingsman's version of Barrett Strong's "Money" to Nirvana's sound, guitar solo especially at 1:33

@2

You are way ahead of me, bro!

Who is Nirvana?
One of those new groups by the young folks?
Yup it's great to see them active...keep 'em off the street.
But I just stick with the greats: Kingsmen, Perry Como, Monkees.

Mike,
Is it true that the State of Washington assembly onced considered making the Kingsmen's version of "Louie, Louie" the offical state song?

I really enjoy this music trivia of yours.
Thanks.

Listening to "Today" I am wondering if they were trying to go down the same path as Paul Revere and the Raiders which had its early incarnation as a pop band, but then was able to make a transition to 1970s soul and social commentary with "Indian Reservation".

Please wait...
